POWERHOUSE director Birgitte Jallov was invited to contribute the the opening roundtable focusing on women in the ‘Media Against Hate’ Conference in Hamburg, November 2017. In our opening roundtable we spoke about Empowerment and Protection of Women Journalists and Media Makers. Diane Kemp, Paula Moriniere, Jane Whyatt and I are here introduced by Nadia Bellardi, Manager of the Media against Hate campaign, among others referreing to a recent IFJ report documenting that one in two woman journalists suffer gender based violence at work.
